You're jumping in anyway right, so who cares, right?   Actually - Showering before entering a swimming pool has many advantages.   It facilitates personal comfort, helps reduce the spread of waterborne infections, and contributes to maintaining proper water balance, reducing the need for excessive chemical treatments.

Showering helps remove sweat, oils, dirt, and personal care products from the body.  These substances accumulate on the skin and, when combined with pool chemicals like chlorine, can create disinfection byproducts that may cause skin and eye irritation.
